Financial Manager
On behalf of Thomsen Food Line A/S, we are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Financial Manager to take full ownership of the finance function in Denmark.
Thomsen Food Line A/S has recently been acquired by the British group Vestey Foods International Ltd. and now operates as a subsidiary within an international organization.
In this key role, you will have overall responsibility for the Danish finance function and act as a trusted business partner to both local management and Group Finance. The position is hands-on and operational, offering a broad range of responsibilities in an international trading environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day accounting, including bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Handling VAT reporting and payroll processing
- Overseeing cash flow and liquidity management
- Preparing monthly and periodic financial reporting
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting to local management and Group CFO
- Preparing financial statements and liaising with external auditors
You will ensure financial transparency and deliver reliable, up-to-date insights into business performance. At the same time, you will continuously optimize processes and workflows to support a scalable and efficient organization.
In addition, you will take responsibility for IT within the organization and play a central role in upcoming system integrations.
Your profile
You hold a relevant financial degree such as HD(R), cand.merc., or equivalent, combined with hands-on experience from a similar role. Alternatively, you may come from a background in controlling or auditing and are ready to move closer to the business.
You bring:
- Strong accounting knowledge and financial reporting experience
- A solid understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
- Advanced Excel skills and strong general IT competencies
- Experience with Navision/Business Central and Power BI (preferred)
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
