EM Trader/Senior Trader, Emerging Markets Debt, Denmark

The Company & Role

Global Evolution, a premier emerging markets boutique asset manager specializing in emerging and frontier markets debt, is seeking an EM Trader to join our team in Denmark. The company has a long-standing, stellar track record in managing EM sovereign debt and has recently announced the launch of a range of EM corporate debt strategies. We are looking for a highly motivated trader to join our trading team, contribute to further developing our top-quartile performance, and enhance our investment process from a trading perspective.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide trading services to the Portfolio Management team by ensuring accurate and timely execution of orders, including monitoring of trading positions.
• Trading responsibilities across sovereign and corporate fixed income, FX and derivatives.
• Execute trades across sovereign and corporate fixed income, FX, and derivatives.
• Gather and share market intelligence on liquidity, pricing, positioning, relative value, and other execution-related factors from both primary and secondary markets.
• Address and resolve dealing related issues to ensure a smooth trading process.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders including Portfolio Management, Back Office, Compliance, Middle Office, Counterparts/Brokers to implement relevant risk controls, order processing information and ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the overall development and growth of the company’s business.

Requirements/qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant subjects, e.g. Finance, Economics etc.
• Experience in conducting quantitative research/analytics and developing relevant tools
• Previous trading experience within the financial sector
• Solid understanding of fixed income and derivative instruments, with a willingness to deepen expertise
• Strong knowledge of data applications and market data platforms such as Bloomberg, etc.
• Eagerness and ability to learn quickly
• Creative, solution-oriented mindset
