Global Risk Management, part of the USTC Group, is in the midst of a highly favourable trend as it is widening its scope of business and customer base. The company specialises in hedging risks in the procurement and selling of fuel products used in various sectors such as the shipping, aviation and manufacturing industries. Growth is primarily generated at international level where good growth prospects appear to continue.
The company is working intensively to increase its collecting and utilisation of data relating to products, markets, customers and suppliers. In this context, great strides have been made towards building up a new data warehouse, laying the groundwork for further development and renewing the apps which support the business’s operation and management on a daily basis. Your daily work will comprise a series of wide-ranging tasks: data extraction and data processing (to support BI reports and dashboards in the CRM system); developing and updating dashboards; integrating reports prepared by suppliers; setting up and developing reports for authorities; and optimising workflows by means of VBA/SQL. In addition, you will take part in a series of development tasks and the development of apps primarily in the area of risk management.
We expect you to have a degree in economics, such as a BSc, MSc in business, management or similar. Alternatively, you have an IT background supplemented with economics courses. You have a minimum of two to four years of practical experience from similar positions, e.g. in a financial affairs or treasury function or a financial undertaking. In other words, it will be advantageous if you are familiar with financial markets and financial products in the area of hedging risks, but this is not a requirement. On the other hand, we expect you to have the qualifications that enable you to quickly obtain the requisite knowledge both of products and their use and, thus, the needs you must meet to support your colleagues in the commercial segment of the organisation. You are experienced in programming in SQL and/or VBA. Familiarity with and interest in C# will be beneficial. You must be able to speak and write in fluent English.
In terms of your personality profile, you are ambitious and targeted. You are analytically adept and have the ability to quickly get to the heart of a matter – including complex tasks. You take pride in delivering high quality at the time agreed and you see the current opportunity as an ideal stepping stone for your further career. You take a structured approach to your work, and you can both work independently on your tasks and engage in close teamwork with your colleagues. Finally, we give high priority to an energetic candidate who is deeply committed to his/her work.
You will be offered an attractive job based in Middelfart, Denmark, with good potential for personal and technical development in a lucrative, consolidated group. For the right candidate, the group provides rewarding future career prospects. Terms and conditions of salary and employment will be individually agreed at an attractive level based on your qualifications.
